Semcon Norge is growing and we are looking for a dedicated Finance Manager to strengthen our team.

Semcon is an international technology company with headquarter based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Semcon Norge is located in Kongsberg with about 85 employees. We are a product development house, we do in-house projects for our customers in very different market segments and we aim to solve customer needs and bring new, sustainable solutions and services to the market. We help our customers stay future proof and we perform business- and technology development in segments like ocean space, life science, industry and renewable energy. We work interdisciplinary from the early idea phase to the finished product in diverse teams across different fields of expertise.

The main focus for you in the role as Finance Manager is to report on financial performance, but also to be proactive in providing analytics, support and recommendations on financial and strategic matters to the organization. You will seek and drive financial efficiencies in line with the objectives and values of the business and consider future opportunities with the business development team. You will also advise on investment activities and supporting any M&A activities. You will be part of the management team in Norway and report directly to the General Manager.

Your main responsibilities will be

• Managing the business controlling of Semcon operations in Norway
• Being proactive in providing support, insights, and analysis to the local management team on financial and operating performance matters
• Deliver monthly management accounts with appropriate variance analysis and commentary vs budget and forecast
• Continuous improvement of local financial process to seek efficiencies including increased use of the Shared Service Centre in Sweden
• Manage and support audits
• Cash management and liquidity management
• Manage tax and legal compliance

Your skills and qualifications

• Appropriate level of education within Finance
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience
• Good financial understanding and understanding of accounting principles
• Honest communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
